The sad truth is that our children are being introduced to drugs and alcohol at younger and younger ages. There’s so much peer pressure and many children are giving in to the pressure and temptation.

How And Why The “Say No Magic Show” Is So

Effective At Educating Children

This program is 40 minutes long and has 6 important features:

1. Entertaining & Educational. Children learn about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse in a non-threatening and entertaining way. The combination of entertainment and education, what I call “educainment”, is, in my opinion, the best way to teach children.

2. Magic. Kids love magic. They really enjoy watching it. Magic is used to illustrate key points so that when the children remember the magic trick they remember the message as well.

3. Puppetry. The highlight of my program is when I introduce my rabbit in the hat puppet, Malcolm. Puppets make a great teaching tool and Malcolm is one of the best.

4. Storytelling. As I mentioned, my goal in this program is to not only teach kids to say no but to help raise their self esteem and feelings of self worth so they have the courage to say no. By telling stories about how famous people resisted temptation, overcame adversity and succeeded, kids will have positive role models they can look up to.

5. Audience Interaction. As you know, kids don’t want to just sit and watch, they want to get involved and when they’re

involved they’re learning. This high energy programs definitely gets the kids involved.

6. It is not a “graphic program”. Too many drug awareness shows go a little too far in showing kids the dangers of using drugs. The “Say No Magic Show” gets the point across in a good, clean and uplifting way.
